AUSTRALIAN ANTIQUE RED CEDAR BOOKCASE
This Australian Red Cedar Bookcase previously owned by the Geelong City Council and was used at the docks for the petrol companies in early 1900.
Made by Thomas Chuck, cabinet maker and furniture manufacturer of 95 Bourke St Melbourne, who made furniture for only a short time between 1855 to 1857, the bookcase is marked Chuck with the address on the rear of the base and top.
